Dentures do not work the way you would like to think they work. They are good for smiling and taking pictures but they don't do much for eating.
Dentures are hard and your bone is hard but your gums are soft and when you pinch them in between they hurt.
It took us 15 years to realize these things do not work the way we would like them to.
In fact wearing dentures that "Float" on your gums does more harm to the bone than if you wore nothing at all.
Now we change the physics. The dentures no longer ride on your gums but are supported by the implants. The forces are transmitted from the denture directly to the implants which are soundly fixed in the jawbone. The gums do not get sandwiched and pinched.
If you have a complete lower denture and you hate it, we have a solution for you.
They seem good in theory but they end up acting like "can openers" by damaging the very teeth that they hold on to. We no longer make partial dentures.
Bridges are what Engineers build over rivers. There is no place for a bridge in your mouth, at least not on natural teeth. They are nothing but a food trap.
Root canals are heroic dentistry. It is the last thing we do before extracting teeth. They provide a band aid solution that will delay an extraction. Many root canals eventually fail. Teeth with root canals should be treated extra nice and not subject to any extra load. They should never be part of a Bridge, that is just asking for trouble.
We only consider root canal therapy for the very young, the very old and traumatic injuries like getting hit with a baseball.

Dental Implants replace your missing teeth.
Most implants are titanium screws that replace the root of your missing tooth. A single crown can be placed on one implant to replace one missing tooth.
They can hold up your dentures so they do not rub against your gums causing sores and destroying bone.
We use many different kinds of implants depending your needs. We have available every implant system made in the world.
It's all about the Abutment
There are temporary abutments and there are final abutments. A final crown should never be placed on a temporary abutment.
A crown is a crown is a crown. We secure all abutments before placing a crown. We never charge extra for a crown on an implant. It's just a crown.
New anodized retention screws should always be used to replace the temporary screws because the threads always become distorted after tightening. The space in between the retention screw and the implant internal threads should always be sealed to keep out bacteria. It's called Closing The MicroGap.
Dr. Barbone has designed a better method of attaching your denture to your implants.
